Italy U19 squad

On European Championship Italy is outsider but that does not concern their U19 head coach, Salvatore Pezzano.  “We come to this tournament with a great desire to get involved,” he commented, adding of their first up fixture with the French: “We are well aware of having to work hard for the first race, but the guys are very determined and willing to work.”

Italian squad contains two youngsters players from England profesional clubs Castleford and Halifax.

“As a Federation we have worked a lot with these young people because they represent the future of our movement. I am convinced that it will be a formative experience for them and for us too. Personally, I am very confident.”
