The national teams of Italy and Serbia under 19 played the test match on Sunday  May 13th in Fogliano Redipuglia (Nort Italy 34070 Province of Gorizia). For both teams this was a great boost to the current capabilities. Italy won by 36-20 (20-8).

Slobodan Manak, team manager of Serbian U19 national team said: “This game is very important for us as a part of our preparations for U19 European Championship which will be held later this year in August. It will help us to see where we stand at the moment and should we need something to change in our preparations. Despite the defeat, we are content with our performance.”

This game was much more important to Italy because, their qualifying matches against Ukraine is only one week from now. The Italian coach Salvatore Pezzano can be pleased with what his players showed against Serbia.
